It's almost there folks... With the price of regular gas reaching nearly $4.00 a gallon, have you started changing your mode of transportation?

I've started riding my bike to work... how about you?

I always ride my bike to the Gym. I work from home so I have no commute, which is nice. My normal transportation is the Harley, which gets 45-50mpg. The wife has a bug she uses for groceries. I have a truck which only comes out for fishing, ATVin or the ocassional trip to the dump. I'd hate to have to fill the motorhome now tho!!!!

Good Lord no doubt! We went to put 60$ in our suburban to do grocery shopping and it was only half a tank!

I think that we should start working on teleportation devices. The only problem is we would end up like Mel Brooks did in Space Balls. Laughing

I bought my husband a bike, now I need to find some saddle bags for it that will hold drills, lightbulbs, toilet plungers, batteries, screws, a hammer, and other assorted things that he needs to repair rental houses Razz

Holy crap! It took $20 to fill the Harley today!

But, on the flip side, I rode to Timbers North and while waiting for chicken I played Keno. I hit 4/4! I poketed the $75, but not before I had the barmaid run them again and I'll be darned it I didn't do it again!

That paid for my chicken and my beer, my gas, the cordless drill/driver I bought on the way (my old one died) and STILL had extra money in my pocket!! It was a GOOD Sunday!

you'll do fine, LiztheD. you know what they say.....It's just like riding...no wiat...that's what you need to do Razz

It's fine. Just don't let some of the "snobby" people get to you. Just like every where in life there are jerks in the bike community. Funny that most are "raod bikers" Not all though.

I found her one on Ebay. Bought it and it was shipped with an arrival date of last Friday. The seller sent me a tracking number for UPS and I looked it up. It arrived in Bend at 1009am. At 1005pm it was marked as "damaged in transit" and was returned to the sender. A note said the sender was being sent details.

Damn! If it was damaged that bad, I guess I'd better start looking for another one. I hope the seller insured it!
