Waxing philosophical I had a thought: is it really the wrong planet, or is it only just the wrong system? If we changed the system, would it be the wrong planet? Or, the right planet? I mean I guess that everyone is sick and tired of being abused by professional politicians that reap huge rewards for screwing us, aren't they? If I assumed, why then I apologize! We don't have: health care, quality education, adequate vacation time, we die young, we have more People in prisons than any other country, and I am sure we all know I could go on. Again, waxing philosophical: perhaps we should say enough? I would like to share a poem that I wrote, I hope you enjoy!
[center]The Blackberry Vine!
Our nation is being suffocated by the vehicle meant to serve,
government, politics lost control in a swerve.
It reminds me ofa fence over run by blackberries.
New Owner new fence,
one vine the first year.
By the time they notice the fruit entices solace.
Big fat juicy berries, so black with hues of blue,
Easy to pick, if you watch the thorns.
Next year a quarter of the fence is gone,
But, oh boy those berries!
They sure are good!
Big fat juicy berries makes it easy to ignore the thorns.
Next year half the fence is gone,
Not as many berries picked,
Tired of being pricked by the thorns!
Next year or two,
The fence is now impregnable,
What was meant to keep things out,
Is now keeping People in.
The best fruit now is being hidden protected by the thorns.
the nature of the vine my friends,
is cancer like in deed.
The fruit has dried, the vine still grows,
Encrusted with its' needle like spikes
The Thorns!
When faced with this problem, what is one to do?
A blackberry bush is easy,
It is time to slash and burn!
But when speaking of our government
A simple knife and torch won't do.
I may some answers friends,
And I know it can't be ignored.
The future of our species won't be decided by a sword.
When faced with this problem,
what is one to do?
I don't have all the answers friends,
Maybe You do?
Have a wonderful day Folks!
