we meet on the net and then I called her. She said she was movieng down here because of a divorce. That's how we meet. I posted something about my divorce on Craigs and she responded to it and we went from there.

Have you ever meet someone from online? That might be a good topic?

Yes, it certainly is. I met my hubby online 12 years ago. That was when it was a new thing, and people frowned on the dangers of meeting people from online and thought that you were a weirdo if you found love on the net! I am happy to report that 2.5 years after meeting we were married and we're doing well, 9 years married. I love you hunnnny. I love you

I just talked to her and she and the kids went up to Haystack Resivor today.

She says she's as "red as a lobser"! Poor girl, welcome to Central Oregon cherry

I told her that I burn like that the first time here also. Now I ALWAYS have sunscreen with me if I need it. I hope she feels better.

Good for you boxie. I don't really understand the stigma about meeting people online, but it seems to me there is still some negative connotation associated with it. I don't know if it is still because of the idea of it being "dangerous" to meet a stranger, or if it is because one might seem so "desperate" or what it is exactly? I say whatever works for you, is what you should do. I haven't had much luck with meeting people online, myself. A couple of fun nights, maybe...but not much luck beyond that. Laughing

Well, My friend and I never did go hikeing or even meet Sad
With her kids there is alot going on in her life and I guess she was aveing some "drama" with one of them. That was the whole point of the hike...to have a little fun and forget about your "life" for awhile.

    Maybe next time?

I know the feeling. I had a very close friend I was stationed in Italy with 25 years ago. He has a unique name, so when he became "Internet active" it was easy to contact him. Turns out he's living in the Pasco area if Washington and is a Regional Manager for his company, which happens to have offices here in Bend. He said about every 6 weeks he has a week here.

We discussed several times getting together for coffee/beer, and he's also into quads and Harleys so I invited him to some events here. He kept saying he'd call me when he came into town but never did. The first 2 or 3 times he had excuses - the boss was here, work problems kept him busy, etc.

I quit inviting. Would have been nice to shoot the shit about old times...
